Barat is the homeworld of the Bratan species and a colony of the Nihydron Star Republic.
The native Bratans were at the first stage of industrial development when the Nihydron invaded their world. After the invasion, the Bratans were relocated to the eastern continent and stripped of representative power. Over the years, the Bratan Resistance did their best to overthrow the colonists and regain control of their world. Nihydron scientists performed experiments on their prisoners to turn them into capable servants and soldiers. During the Scoodian War, the Bratans rose against the colonists and exposed their injustice to the public, leading to the withdrawal of the colonists.
