The Janirans are a humanoid species native to the planet Janir.
Their religion is known to be polytheistic, with a number of gods being worshiped. Such gods include Redab, God of War, Oram, God of the Sea and Fala, Goddess of the Sun. This belief was carried even after they reached the space age. They established several colonies, including Taluno, Shesa, Adami and Opaka.
Soon, they entered into a war with the neighboring Osadan species. Several of their colonies were destroyed and many were made refugees by the wars end. In an attack of retaliation, a group of radicals ended the war by using one of the cruisers to vaporize the atmosphere of the Osadan homeworld.
